Android Marshmallow Update Rolling Out to LG V10, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5

Verizon and T-Mobile rolled out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for LG s V10 in March and now it s AT&T s turn to do the same. Also, Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy s5 owners who are connected to Telus will get this update in May. Currently, Marshmallow is running on 4.6 percent of all Android devices, but carriers are moving very slow and their subscribers are losing their patience. This update has finally arrived on LG V10 connected to AT&T, and the installation file has over 1GB in size, which means that before downloading it, users must connect to a wireless network. Android 6.0 Marshmallow is available over the air and AT&T has already started pushing it out. If users haven t received the update notification yet, they can manually check for it by going to their devices Settings menu and tapping on About. It s important to clean up the storage and to backup important data, because it will be lost during the installation process.

Also, the phone s battery must be fully charged and the WiFi network must be stable. As for Samsung s Galaxy S5 and Note 4, Telus will upgrade them in May, on 2nd and 16th, and the update will include the latest security packages. Another device that will receive the update on May 2nd is the Galaxy S2 tablet.

It isn t sure if these devices are getting 6.0 or 6.0.1 Marshmallow, which was rolled out to Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge a few days ago, but either way, it is known that the new features that users will find useful are: Google Now on Tap, Doze Mode, app permissions, but also, there have been made improvements to the notification area, lock screen, System UI Tuner and more.

Currently, Android N is being tested on a number of Nexus devices and if it will be released by the time Samsung will bring the Note 6, this phablet will run on the new operating system.
