AT&T And T-Mobile Are Rolling Out Android Marshmallow To LG G3

Android N is currently being tested with developers and we already know about some of the new features that will be introduced this fall. But until then, Android Marshmallow will continue to roll out to more and more devices. LG s G3, which was released in June 2014, has been stuck with Android 4.4.2 KitKat since then and now, it s finally getting the latest update. According to reports, AT&T and T-Mobile are rolling out Marshmallow to this flagship, but users connected to T-Mobile will install this update using LG s desktop software. Only AT&T is pushing out Android Marshmallow update over the air and users should receive it in the next days. The software version will be D85030k and it already includes the March security patches, not the latest April security patches. Unfortunately, Android 6.0.1 is not available for too many flagships, but LG G Vista 2 on AT&T is one of the lucky devices that have received this update over the air.

The installation file weighs 890MB and it added AT&T Video Call support. As for the LG G3, this was a high-end smartphone in 2014, as it was powered by a powerful Qualcomm MSM8974AC Snapdragon 801 quad-core 2.5 GHz Krait 400 processor backed by 2GB/3GB of RAM coupled with 16GB/32GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB. The phone is very large, sporting a 5.5-inch True HD-IPS + LCD display with a QHD resolution, it s protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and on the back, which is made of plastic with brushed metal finish, is placed a 13MP camera with an aperture of f/2.4, which supports features such as phase detection/laser autofocus, OIS and dual-LED (dual tone) flash.

The front camera has a resolution of 2.1MP, but don t expect to take high quality selfies with it.

The battery has an average capacity of 3000mAh and it s removable.
