AT&T has finally rolled out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the LG V10, following Verizon, which released1 the update in March, and T-Mobile, which pushed out2 the update earlier in April. LG V10 users who are under AT&T will not have to wait long before their smartphone gets upgraded to the latest version of Google’s mobile operating system. Android 6.0 Marshmallow brings with it performance improvements, bug fixes and several new features such as Doze and Google Now on Tap. The update has only started to be pushed out though, and like with all over-the-air updates, LG V10 users under AT&T will be receiving the Android 6.0 Marshmallow at different times.

Once the update is ready, users will receive a notification on their smartphone. For impatient owners, you could try heading to the Settings menu of the LG V10, tap on About and then try checking for the update manually. Users might first have to clean up their LG V10’s storage, though, as the update will take up more than 1 GB. Before downloading and installing the update, users should make sure that the battery of the smartphone is well charged up or it is plugged in for charging, and that the Wi-Fi network is a strong and stable.

While LG has been working with carriers to push out the update to owners of the smartphone, the spotlight has shifted to the newest flagship device of the company, namely the LG G5. When compared3 to the LG V10, the LG G5 has a smaller 5.3-inch screen compared to the LG V10’s 5.7-inch screen. However, the LG G5 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, whereas the LG V10 is powered by the older Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor. The LG G5 also comes pre-loaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
