Works for every say 7 coins out of 10. The resisting bar that tells how big a coin is will constantly report the wrong coin depending on the force you enter the coin and whether the coin is pushed perfectly to the side or not. Also the bar will get a little stuck which will take a fair bit of force to get the coin is, also resulting in the wrong coin recognised.

The actual sorting mechanism is fairly clever but massively flawed. Effectively the coin slides down a rail and depending on the size and weight will fall out of the rail into the below coin collecting column. This risingly works better than it should, but not only will every 2+ of every 10 coins fall into the wrong column, the coins will often call alongside columns missing them entirely… this is particularly annoying as it then becomes hard to fish the coins back out.

The pros of this thing are that you’ll get 80% correct sorted coin stacks which you cna put into coin bags to take the the bank. The cons are the counting is massively inaccurate, there’s no individual count for each type of coin, and you’ll have to go through each stack to remove the incorrect coins (and fish out the ones on the tray that missed columns).. Then of course to take these coins to the bank, you’re going to have to count them individually.

So in short of it, this thing is a huge waste of money, and even the novelty of it will frustrate adults and kids alike for screwing up so often.
