I received this item in return for my honest and Unbiased Review

This Item arrived before its estimated delivery time and was packaged very well.

    1 Drone Aircraft

    x 4 The protective frame

    1 Battery

    1 USB Charger cable

    1 Camera

    1 Paddle

    1 Remote controller

    1 Instruction Booklet

0 SD card but can purchase separately

The Installation looked tricky but it was really straight forward. The User manual guides you through every step. Assembling the drone is really complex. It does come with tiny scews but even though there really small it was still really easy to put together and you get tiny screw driver with it too.

I placed the drone on charge using the USB and attached ti to the battery. The USB stayed a solid red colour for about 3 minutes then it continued to flash.

I assumed this was part of the charging process.

In the User manual it says once fully Charged the USB lights up Green.

However I had this on for at least 3-4 hours and still stayed Red.

I thought its either me doing something wrong or its faulty.

It was neither. ( will come back to this)

I added batteries 4 AA batteries to the controller and we turned it on. The controller worked but there was no lights coming on the Drone.

However after looking carefully I noticed a switch a on and off button on the drone itself.

This wasn’t in the User manual so I wasn’t aware of any button.

Once turned on the Drone lighted up. Green and orange lights coming from underneath.

It looked Amazing considering my initial thought of this was oooh it looks like a pieces of plastic a tacky toy.. To WOW

We did a pre trial in my garden just so we could get a idea of what it does.

    (Please see pictures and videos)

All the helicopter pieces at the top of the drone started to spin and made quite some noise. Every time it went up slightly I was amazed.

We wanted to test this product at a better location so took it where there was a big empty field.

The drone lifted off and went so high up it was such a buzz. My kids loved it.

    Such Great family fun.

See videos to see this amazing piece in action.

With this there is endless fun and laughter

    I would Highly recommend this

I could only add one video but did take two to show,

Good introduction to drones and video., 27 Mar. 2016

This is a good entry level drone with a camera. It is well packaged and boxed with includes, the Drove partially assembled, 4 x propeller guards (handy for flying indoors,) 4 x legs with 2 x spares, 2 x spare propeller blades, tiny screws with a screwdriver, camera, USB charging lead but no charger, controller but no batteries and instructions. The build quality is good and the drone feels robust. Despite some dodgy flying I have not managed to break it yet. The camera requires a micro SD card that is not supplied but everything else is to get you flying.

The instructions are reasonable but some of the translation leaves something to be desired. There are some good diagrams which help and using these with some trial and error managed to to assemble the drone without too much trouble. However I wasn’t able to get the tiny screws in to secure the legs but these slot in reasonably securely so gave up in the end and they haven’t fallen off yet.

The drone is a reasonable size but still quite flyable indoors. The battery is removable and plugs into the USB lead for charging which glows red until the battery is fully charged. This is a bit fiddly takes a few hours but provides reasonable flight time of about 5 minutes. It would be better though if the lead plugged into the drone although I suppose this does open up using multiple batteries if they are available.

The controller takes 4 x AA batteries and has multiple switches that are a bit scattered however there is a rather vague diagram but the functions are not very well explained. It does work well though and is comfortable to hold. The camera clips on the bottom of the battery box and has its own LED to show its status. The weight pulled the battery box open a few times after contact or a rough landing.

The drone flies really well, it is stable and intuative to fly. I is very sensitive and took some getting used to but I can put this down to me as with practice I found it much easier to get stable flight. It has flashing LEDs that help orientate it and was stable both inside and out. You can pitch it forward and back or either side to steer it and the power control can also be used to yaw it to aim the camera.

The camera can take stills or video but I would stick to video as stills all came out blurry due to the motion of the drone. It is only a .3 mega pixel camera so the quality is not great but it is OK for fun use and there is the advantage that the file sizes are not too big. The camera points the direction of the drone and it takes some time to get used to aiming it and keeping it as stable as possible. I tried a basic 2 Gig micro SD card and a 16 Gig class 10 one and both worked fine, another advantage of the basic camera. Some test footage is attached however some allowance should be made of the dodgy flying and the effects of the wind outside. The videos produced will need cleaning up and editing but you can get some reasonable results. The camera has a built in microphone but all this picks up is the engine from the drone when it is flying. Could be handy for some covert recording after the drone has landed though!

The is a well designed entry level drone and represents good value for money. It is not perfect but on the other hand it flies really well and is a good introduction to producing aerial videos for less than £30.
