An optical illusion is causing frustration across the internet – with THOUSANDS left tearing their hair out at being unable to solve the brainteaser. After going viral on Facebook,1 the photographer of a mobile phone on a rug (which is pictured below) has infuriated and encapsulated social media users across the globe. Those that have worked out the optical illusion have been gloating about their feat – with many others left increasingly stressed at being unable to decipher the trick.
Can you spot the mobile phone?
Users have been divided, with many finding the phone relatively easily, while others labour in their attempts to spot it. If you’re struggling, we can reveal the answer below – but proceed with caution.
SPOILER: If you want to find the mobile, it’s next to the table leg on the right hand side. Go up the black patterned strip and it’s a black case with flowers on, and you can see the camera on the top. Have you spotted it yet? If you give up, check out the pic below to reveal its location. Look really closely and you can see the outline of the phone shape.
Earlier this year, this optical illusion3 left millions bewildered after it was widely circulated on social media. Antley Lamont Statenm, meanwhile, posted this brainteaser on Facebook,4 and it’s been shared nearly 400,000 times and received nearly 60,000 comments and reactions. Many people have been trying to solve the riddle with advanced mathematics, but were probably left kicking themselves when they realised the real solution.
Did you spot the obvious mistake?
